Methyl maslinate is an antagonist of β- adrenergic receptor with cardiotonic and antidysrhythmic properties. Methyl maslinate can be used in studies about hypertension.
Methyl maslinate (20-60 mg/kg; i.p.) shows vasodepressor and sinus bradycardia effects in a dose-dependent manner. Methyl maslinate lasts more than 60 min with a maximum of 20 min with potent hemodynamic effects[1].
